BOSVELDSIG

Your peace of mind in the bushveld

Bosveldsig’s origin was a direct outflow of our previous two developments, namely, Ribbokrant (20 units) and Zebrapark (26 units). The demand for this type of retirement housing in Modimolle (Nylstroom), with its wonderful climate, has increased systematically to such an extent that a larger retirement center was necessary to meet the need. Bosveldsig started in 1995 and over the years, the development has grown into the fully fledged and safe resort it is today. The goal of Bosveldsig was to provide spacious units for residents, to create opportunities for residents to resume forgotten hobbies and to build new friendships.

Bosveldsig was one of the very first retirement villages of its kind in the beautiful Bushveld. Since 1996, when the first residents moved in, it has been a trendsetting and very popular retirement village.

MODIMOLLE / NYLSTROOM is a charming country town with clean, unpolluted air and beautiful scenery. The retirement village is situated conveniently near the highway, one and a half hour’s drive, north of Pretoria. Nylstroom has a very pleasant, equable climate of balmy summer evenings and warm winter days.

BOSVELDSIG consists of 8 phases with a total of 408 homes. 7 phases have been completed and we are currently in the final phase. Each phase is separately secured with its own security fence, automatic gate and intercom system.

Six of the eight phases have an age restriction of 50 years and older with no dependents, one phase has an age restriction of 18 years and older and one phase has no age restriction. The different age restrictions make it possible for young working individuals to be able to acquire a good investment or to invest in a retirement property in good time. The property can be rented out to people who adhere to the age restriction of the specific phase.

The buyer receives a full title deed, which means that all increases to the value of the property is due to the owner. The council is responsible for the maintenance of the roads, streetlights and other services in the different phases. The entrance gate and intercom systems belong to the residents of the specific phase and therefore the maintenance of the gate is the responsibility of the residents. Every phase has its own committee that is responsible for the maintenance of that specific phase and they also determine the gate fee payable for the maintenance of the gate. This varies from R25 to R50 per month, depending on the phase.
